1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of theforsakenones.com (the “Site”), which is run by The Forsaken Ones (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Who can use the Site
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should have the permission of a parent or guardian. We may ask for confirmation of your age and may close accounts that do not meet this requirement.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You can register with a username, email and password, or by signing in with a third-party service such as Google.
- Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Do not share your account or create accounts to get around a suspension.
- Tell us straight away at admin@theforsakenones.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
4. Community rules
The Forsaken Ones is a place to play games and hang out with people you like, and a bit of friendly banter is fine. But you must not:
- harass, bully, threaten or abuse other people, or share anyone’s private information without their consent;
- post hateful content or discriminate against people because of their race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or similar characteristics;
- post sexual content involving minors, or any content that is illegal in the United Kingdom. We will remove it and may report it to the authorities;
- post pornographic, extremely violent or otherwise graphic content;
- cheat, share cheats or hacks, or post malware, phishing links or anything designed to harm other people’s devices or accounts;
- impersonate other people or misrepresent who you are;
- spam, advertise without our permission, or disrupt the Site or its security in any way.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post, such as comments, your profile information and your profile picture. By posting it, you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to host, display and share it on the Site so that we can run the community. You promise that you have the right to post it and that it does not break anyone else’s rights or these Terms. You can delete your own content, and if you delete your account we will remove your content from the Site, except where we are required to keep it by law.
6. Moderation and enforcement
We may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or that we reasonably believe are harmful to the community. Where appropriate we will tell you why. If you think we have made a mistake, contact us at admin@theforsakenones.com and we will look at it again.
7. Third-party services and links
The Site lets you sign in with third-party services such as Google, and may link to other websites and services. Those are run by other people, and their own terms and privacy policies apply to them. We are not responsible for them.
8. Our property and game names
The Site’s design, logo, name and original content belong to us or our licensors. Please do not copy or reuse them without permission. Names of games, companies and platforms mentioned on the Site belong to their owners. The Forsaken Ones is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any game publisher or platform unless we say so.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it. Please read it alongside these Terms.
10. Availability and changes to the Site
We aim to keep the Site running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Site at any time.
11. Our responsibility to you
The Site is provided on an “as is” basis. We are not responsible for content posted by users, or for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
12. Ending your use of the Site
You can stop using the Site and ask us to close your account at any time by contacting admin@theforsakenones.com. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, as described in section 6. Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends, such as sections 5, 8 and 11, will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make an important change we will post the new version on the Site and update the date at the top. If you keep using the Site after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over any dispute, although if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you may also have the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
